Literature Text
On Earth,
Life a unique commodity.
It is precious.
Though, what sets it apart
from other resources,
is that, it is
the only One,
that can decide
for itself,
if it wants to be wasted
or put to good use.
In the Universe,
a single life,
is here for just a second
then it's gone.
But what that life
leaves behind,
can either last
for a second,
or forever.

The Hidden Truth
She smiles, she laughs, she paints away,
On the tips of her happiness is how goes the day.
She prays, she hopes, she dreams legit,
To forget the regrets that she once commit.
She is, she was, an angelic child,
Now addicted to pain is how gone wild.
She tries, she pretends, to again be so happy,
Such a shame her life has turned so scrappy.
She tries, she wishes to again be so her,
A prince shall come to make her feel so pure.

Memory
Memory is like the tide,
It swells and ebbs;
It's free and wide,
Yet ridden with dregs.
At times it's calm
Soothing and sweet;
Like a tender balm,
A gentle beat.
It's violent, too
Coarse and bitter;
Like a vicious coup,
A cruel winter.
In it, I do bask,
Adrift in my mind;
I need only ask
To be lost in time.

Nobody stayed innocent there
One's dreams smudged on the pavements
Of the city we used to love
Right next to our hopes
And mixed with someone's blood
It's raining from the empty sky
But everything stays on the asphalt
You can feel the smell of the broken rose petals
And the sound of broken hearts
And just like that, the city shattered
Pulling us down with its glory
It represented the world
But now only its ruins are left and its story
Nobody stayed innocent there
We all made sins
A perfect city of the angels
With the broken wings
And we had something human in us
Our souls started glowing
We felt too much
And by then, the city was already falling

Author's Notes.
I know many of us are confused about what to do with our lives. We try too many things to know what direction we should head in.
But whatever we end up settling on we should always make the most of it.
The commas are placed such that the pauses they induce are meant to get the reader to really think about what I tried to convey.
